U40: OU Athletic Director Joe Castiglione joins the show
It was a big day on the Unofficial 40 as Joe Castiglione, the father of one half of The Family Business came in studio to talk with Carey and Eddie about a number of topics. We talked about OU's official move to the SEC and the events and celebration taking place July 1 on campus. We also talk about the new arena proposal in Norman after several city council meetings and a planning commission meeting. Why does Castiglione believe Norman needs this project as much as OU does? We also hit on NIL and the new 1Oklahoma Collective. How should OU fans approach giving to NIL with the new collective? And we can't wait to tour Love's Field with everyone else next Monday. Josh also comes in to put a wrap on all the recruiting action that has happened lately. And the Sooners are making a move for a 5-Star OT.

NIL is changing once again in the OU market. Crimson and Cream is no longer being supported by the university. The newly launched/re-launched 1Oklahoma collective is taking over all university branded NIL endeavors. Eddie and George catch up with Jeff Weber, the CEO of the re-launched 1Oklahoma, which has no relation to the former 1Oklahoma collective or Barry Switzer.

With that Height He has options. His ability to put on weight rapidly and his skills, will work this out. Whichever position he is born for, should come to the surface as he goes through a season or two of training.

CJ is sn amazing basketball player. He can play point gaurd or power forward and get you rebounds. Can do ALL the dunks and shoot 30ft 3 pointers. Whatever position he focuses on in Football. He WILL be all SEC.

Kind of hard to know the kicking situation u til we see guys kicking. Word is there won’t be a change from last year and that he’s been kicking great. Now does that mean he has a much shorter leash than last year? I would imagine so but that also depends on how the other kickers are. I dont think it’s ideal to have a freshman kicker starting going into the SEC and in those environments we will be playing in. So I don’t think you will see a new kicker to start the season. Depending on how it goes will determine what the whole season looks like. That’s my 2 cents from reason and listening to all that I do/have.
